You have probably heard the saying, “My glass is always half full rather than half empty.” That statement is about perspective. If you have a happy perspective and you’re acting happy, you will find that happy circumstances come your way.
However, if you’re the kind of person whose “glass is half empty”, and your perspective is gloom-and-doom, then your body language will follow your feelings. Your RAS (reticular activator system) will filter into your awareness all that makes you unhappy. Inspired actions attract greater opportunity. If you find yourself in a circumstance with a desperate outlook rather than a positive one, your thoughts will be consumed worry and your feelings will be full of anxiety. Often circumstances or impending change are much more unbearable in our thoughts than in reality. In this situation where negativity is your choice, your body language, thoughts, and emotions all are in sync, and the worry and anxiety may manifest in physical ailments such as stomach problems or heart palpitations.
If you find yourself dealing with a challenging situation and you choose to experience the power of positive change, you will alter the way your body and emotions respond and will reinforce your choice of happiness. Your RAS will kick in and begin to seek new opportunities for your happiness. Challenges will work out and solutions will be obvious. When you take action on the new opportunity, you naturally create enjoyable circumstances. The action helps to program your thoughts, emotions, and your RAS filters with the positive information. You can start with changing either your thoughts or your actions; they work closely together to raise the vibrations and attract happiness into your life.
