These steps will help you clear out the clutter and create space in your thoughts and actions that will bring you peace, contentment and happiness. By eliminating the negative habits and tapes you make room for a more positive, productive life.

Simplify Your Life and Create Room for Change

  • Clean out your clutter, your closets, drawers, under your bed, your desk and even your garage, take the things you aren’t using to Goodwill. Get rid of things you haven’t used in the last six months.
  • Slow down and become aware of your thoughts choices and surroundings.
  • Take time to sit down and eat a meal, choose healthy foods and drink water to flush out the toxins in your body.
  • Have a routine and plan to eat, sleep, work, relax, and meditate.
  • Take a decadent shower or bath, your favorite fragrant soap, candle, soft fluffy robe and relax before getting dressed.
  • Go to bed, when you are ready to go to sleep and don’t use your bed as a working space.
  • Create a living space and quiet time for meditation, reflection, reading and rest. Listen to your thoughts and set priorities.
  • Set specific goals to get the life you want for yourself. Write down your goals and review them daily.
  • Envision your perfect day! If you know what you want and where you are going it is easier to get there.
  • Don’t spend money you don’t have.
  • Don’t focus on things you can’t change. Can you do anything to change the stock market? Does it change anything if you watch the market on CNN for ten hours a day? Then why watch it?
  • Be yourself and allow others to be who they are. When we judge others, we are also judging ourselves. Be authentic!
  • Make laughter a priority
  • Create moments of inspiration and imagination. Be artistic.
  • This one sounds easy but is probably the most difficult. Take the time to communicate effectively. Be aware of your body language, thoughts and words.
  • Trust yourself, your intuition and embrace your differences.
  • Develop deep, meaningful relationships
  • Live guilt free!
  • Remember there is no try, there is either do or don’t do!
